Buffy and Spike mean the world to me, and that's all there is to it. I love them to bits, every part of them, and I dimly remember having other characters who were contenders as my favorites, but now it's clearly these two. She keeps me strong, and he keeps me sane. There's a lot of media out there that represents poor mental health, and I used to cling to them and feel seen by them... but I think this show is special in the way that it shows it, but doesn't wallow in it. It doesn't embrace the darkness, and it doesn't coddle the weakness, but gives room to feel it and work through it, and then rise above and overcome it, and I never knew how much I was missing that in shows until this one! 

So, I think it's time I take a moment to explain my username, lol! I love the pirate aesthetic and always have, and adding "queen" to that just makes it more epic in my mind BUT that part of the name only exists because I needed something random when I created my A03 account. And since that was the first place I started posting Buffy stories, I didn't want to change it when I moved here. Plus the whole thing flows like "buffythevampireslayer," which I don't hate! 

Violetta is the looking-glass version of me; she is the link to every fandom I've ever loved, and she is the root of all my imaginings. I've had wild romps and adventures and just cuddles in bed with characters I've loved for YEARS, and she is the one I fantasize having those experiences, instead of myself. I came up with her when I was 11 years old, and if you see me favoring that number in my stories, that would be why.  

And I wasn't expecting to become known as this, but I absolutely LOVE being called Violetta, or V, or Vi, or whatever other variation you can think of, haha. You guys bring my imagination to life way more than I ever could, and my inner child feels so very loved whenever I read that name!
