I started watching Buffy in season six when the show moved to UPN because UPN wasn't on cable but the WB was. When Spike went to get his soul, I discovered fanfic and read so much that spring and summer. By summer of 2002, I decided to try writing something. (The last fanfic I'd written had been Star Trek the Next Generation fanfic that I'd scribbled in notebooks in middle school.)

I wrote a challenge from the Buffy and Spike Diaries website and posted it on fanfiction.net. I also reached out to a couple of site owners, including Hils at Death Marked Love and Rachel at Sinister Attraction to post my story. Then, I met a couple of other authors (Zarrah) and a fanartist (Thia), and she helped design my first website, Eternal Devotion, where I posted my fanfic on geocities. Soon, my website was hosted by a host site (Dark Prophecies), which shut down quite suddenly, leaving many Spuffy sites without homes. 

A huge portion of the fandom moved over to Live Journal, and I was active there for many years. I also had my own domain, Sand in My Shoes, where I hosted Spuffy sites and had my own website for my fanfic (Tranquil Daydreams).

I dropped out of fandom after two big events: being displaced due to Hurricane Katrina and being robbed a couple of times so I lost my fics/fansite stuff.

I picked BtVS back up in 2015 when I was undergoing IVF and my husband and I had tons of downtime in a hotel because we were cycling out of state. I fell back in love with Spuffy and came back and completed four WIP that I had left for over a decade. I've been writing new fanfics since then, and in the last year, I posted all my works here...even the old ones from 2002.
