I watched btvs back when it originally aired. I loved the characters, the jokes, the story. None of my friends saw the series though and my husband thought it was silly, so it became kind of a guilty pleasure for me. Back then I didn’t know anything about fan fiction, and when the series ended I more or less forgot about it for a long time.

A couple of years ago I read an article on how amazing btvs was and how it influenced later tv shows, and I realised that I was not alone in my fascination with the show. After binge watching btvs for a month I found my way to fan fiction and discovered a group of people who, like me, thought the show never really did Spikes character justice. (Bangel shippers go home!)

Since then I have realised just how addicting spuffy-fics can be, much to my surprise. (Thought I would just look around, read a few fics and lose interest...)

I was lurking for a long while, before I even started commenting. I have always loved writing, but aside from a few short stories in High School, I never really took the time to do it, and not knowing about fan fiction, I never considered writing that before. Now that I have tried to write a little, it’s like rediscovering a part of myself. I've also realised just how important the comments are, so I try to comment on everything I read, at least if I have the feeling there's a chance the authour still sees it. I'm truly amazed by the talent in this group.

In my mind the comics aren't canon. I didn't even know they existed until I joined here. I've read summaries of what happens in them, and tried reading them online, but it seems I'm forever stuck in season 8.

I generally prefer the fics that start out in canon and goes AU from there. All human is not my thing, but I have read a few of those too. I love time travel and historical fics.

When I'm not reading or writing about our favourite Sunnydale residents, I'm a single mom, working as a teacher, trying to teach teenagers around Dawn's age Litterature, English and History. I don't think I have any potential slayers in my class... but you never know
