Hi everyone! Thinking about a story idea, but for that am curious, who are the bad guys (big or small) on Buffy that never died? I can think of a few immediately - Dru, Sweet, Spike (though he sort of doesn't count since he switched teams)... Who am I missing?

Honestly for a while there part of me wondered if Buffy (with the way she treats him) deserved Spike. But in the end that doesn't matter. She deserves him because he is totally hers. And he deserves her because he makes her better.

Where he is the exception is that he doesn't just expect her to deal. He goes out of his way to be better for her. And I don't just mean the soul. So what girl wouldn't want that kind of person in her life? Someone willing to constantly improve themselves for her while also being honest and loyal.

@Saphire - I am utterly and completely weak in the knees for the tough on the outside, sweet and gooey on the inside guys! And Spike has that in spades. And he's utterly devoted to Buffy. These characters often do terrible things that negatively impact the person they love and Spike is no exception.

Then when I saw how at least souled Spike clearly made a better version of Buffy, I was hooked. (I lived in denial for months, though. "Oh, I'm just a Spike fan... The relationship isn't that important to me..." Then someone said, "Spuffy for the win!" and I whooped so loud I woke my kids. lol.)

@Safire -- I started with Spike. I loved his very clear understanding of right and wrong and what side he was on (wrong) and admitting and owning that wrongness. And then how Buffy, though toughness and example, showed him the path out of that, so that he became a better version of himself.

@Safire It's probably because how they complement each other. A vampire drawn to the light (without getting a soul ), a Slayer needing to understand her own darkness. Spike gives her life, Buffy grounds him. Something like that.

I don't know if it's just me, but is there a way to put the little "check box" that used to say "remember me", back onto the LOG IN page? It's just a pain to have to look back in to the site after each chapter read before being allowed to go to the next chapter!
