Sentinels have an instinctual drive to protect their home territory. They have five super senses and extra musculature for added strength. The problem is Sentinels need to bond with a Guide. Guides are people with high empathic abilities that can keep Sentinels from turning to the dark side. In other words going crazy and killing every human in sight. They are a lot like a vampire, just without the drinking of blood and burning in the sun, and they are alive, not undead.
