Summary: AR: Buffy tried to convince the Council to let her go and pursue her own life, but the Council refused. They had a vested interest in grooming potentials for mating. Without a guardian mate a potential slayer’s abilities would not come to fruition. Every unclaimed slayer was a lost warrior against evil. Now her body has quickened, for the third and last time it calls for a guardian mate.
Guardians are male warriors with hyper senses and a drive to protect their territory from evil.
