Just in town we have a Subway, a Dixie Queen, a kind of cafeteria style place, a burger joint built in a place the size of a large shed, the pizza at the gas station, a pizza joint (that does not deliver) and the deli at the Piggly Wiggly.To get other things (like Chinese ) you have to leave town.

Hard to believe, ladycat, that we live in the same country, since services are so different. We get mail delivery at home. . . not to mention at least 48 different kinds of foods.

Most of town has to go to the post office to get thier mail, Which is 2 blocks away from me with no sidewalks to speak of and it is cold . I'd take my car if it wasn't messed up .

The town I grew up in had at one point 3 actual real movie houses, the kind with stages and long velvet curtains, and exquisite moldings and fixtures. Sadly, they are gone, though one is being used as a church (which I find weird). But there are literally hundreds of movie theatres within 50 miles

Apparantly there was a movie theater here and just across the state line decades ago but now nothing.There's now a redbox nearby (which I can't use ) and another one and a video store across the line.

Also the nearest movie theater is a drive in 25 miles away that's only open 3 days a week in the summer and has one screen and a mosquito problem. The indoor movie theater is another 20 miles as the road goes

Let's put it this way, the county I live in was a dry county up until a few months ago and the Alabama county just over the state line is still one.There's also no public transport.
