I came across a really promising new Spuffy story on FanFiction.net called My Best Enemy by Respice finem excors It deserves a peek. I thought it deserves to be read and encourage the writer to keep on writing it. I checked and their not a member of E.F.

Another shout-out for Origins; it's my go-to comfort fic. I'm pretty sure I've read it through at least 10 times. Sometimes I just click on a random link & start reading. I wouldn't mind if there was more of that 'verse to come, she said coyly.

Keep reading about the Pratt family. If you go the Karloff line his familly were all high ranking diplomats and one of his relations was Anna Leonowens who taught the children of the King of Siam.

I thought I read somewhere that Joss had named him William Pratt because it was the real name of Boris Karloff who, I believe, played Dracula. Don't know if it's true.

William's surname is originally given as "Pratt" in the non-canon comic Old Times. As far as I know that is the only source for all the fanfic giving it as Spike's surname. I don't think Joss ever confirmed this, although he once made a dismissive joke about it. I don't like it and don't use it.

I totally agree with you blade. It's good to have some research and self reflection and what not, that's what makes a story, but if that's all there is....

Just like how I don't like the use of "Pratt" as Spike's factual last name cause 1- he uses it as an insult an awful lot and 2- I just flat out don't like it, refuses to use it and kinda wants to whack whoever's thought it up upside the head! I'm just twisted like that

Yeah, it's Buffy not Elizabeth, Buffy Anne Summers to be precise. Gets really irked when "Elizabeth" is used! Kinda gets it having to be a nickname for the Historical/Time Travel fics.
