Better late than never, right? I was the perfect age when BTVS first came out, but I totally missed it - not at all on my radar, would have been banned by my parents if it was, and probably too busy to keep up with it anyway. And then I let 22 years go by, hearing about it but thinking a cult show couldn't be that good (boy, was I dumb). Then a fateful turn came when my friend shared her Hulu login with me, and I saw that Buffy was on it, and I decided I would finally watch and see what all the fuss was about.

So I finally watched BTVS for the first time at the end of 2019... and then promptly again 2 more times immediately after. And then I just had to find and engage with other people who liked the show as much I did, which was the first time I had ever sought out and participated in a fandom, but I couldn't just leave it alone. So I joined a Facebook group, and that led to someone suggesting I check out Elysian Fields for Spuffy fic. And that led down a rabbit hole of reading, getting ideas, joining the EF Facebook group, and sinking myself in DEEP.

And then... the world stopped turning. The Covid pandemic started (March 2020, as we'll never forget) and like everyone else, I holed up inside, trying to figure out how to stay well. And that's when I started writing my own Spuffy fanfic (a story I am still working on). It became the creative outlet that kept me sane, and the EF members became the community that kept me grounded. I feel like I could not have planned my entry to the Buffy world better, considering it became such a blessing during the craziest of times.

So I am very thankful for EF, and I'm also super excited to post my first stories and join in the fun! I have lots more ideas, so we'll see what else I get around to putting out in the future.

As a writer, I assure you that I am all about the HEA/HFN - I came to Spuffy fic primarily to have the catharsis of seeing them get their happy ending and find ways of being together, and gosh darn it, that's what I'm gonna do!

As a reader, I am open to all kinds of stories, with very few exceptions. And I'll read the same trope over and over as well as new and crazy things I would have never thought of - bring it on! My bookshelf is about to tip over with all that I still need to read on this site, but I look forward to doing so and giving more well-deserved comments and kudos.
