Born of a discussion in Discord about how Spike never went to the library in the first three seasons... but he could have!

In "Lovers Walk" Spike goes to the science room to knock out Xander and capture Willow for the love spell, but Buffy was jump-roping all by herself in the library at the time! Giles was camping, Angel was "rehabilitating" in the mansion, and presumably Xander and Willow and Oz and Cordy would have all gone on their double date if they hadn't been interrupted, even if Willow's de-lusting spell didn't go as planned.

So the challenge is to have Spike bypass the science room and walk into the library instead. Did he get lost? Did he smell Slayer and get distracted? Everything could have fallen into place for these two at this moment, so let's see how that happens!

And this is a request from nastieswewhispered, to still have a hot cocoa date with Joyce with the following lines of dialogue:

Joyce: Spike is such a nice young man.

Buffy: Mom, he's 150 years old.

MUST HAVES:

Eh, I kinda spelled them all out. Happy Spuffy by the end, otherwise I'm not picky!

MUST NOT HAVE:

Bangel longer than is absolutely necessary. I also don't love character bashing just in general, even for characters I despise, so please just treat everyone fairly, even if we're sending them packing and Spike is taunting them from behind a barrier! 

Same goes for the other Scoobies--no bashing, please. Some freaking out on their part is understandable (and can be very funny!), but don't let Buffy lose any of them over this. As for the rest of the Wilow/Oz/Cordy/Xander drama, you can decide how that happens or doesn't happen.
