My penname, Miss Murchison, is taken from a character in Dorothy L. Sayers' classic mystery novel, "Strong Poison." Miss M is a dowdy middle-aged woman who is more than she appears to be. I can't claim her skills at safe-cracking, but it does amuse me to look around at PTA meetings and wonder if anyone else there writes vampire porn.

My real life is so normal, it's almost disturbing. It's the kind of life people have in scary movies just before the monsters attack. Job, husband, kids. I'm very boring.
