I would like to congratulate and thank everyone who played a role in making the Artistic April Challenge month an incredibly successful event. The Trapped Challenge previously held the title for most new fic for a site event, but you guys have smashed that—this April brought us 59 brand new challenge fic. Yes, you read that right… 59 new fics.

THANK YOU: to the artists, betas, commenters and authors who contributed to this challenge – it wouldn’t be the raging success it was without all of you and your participation.

Speaking of, if you participated during challenge month as an author, artist or beta, and you followed the event rules, you should find some pretty awards as a thank you for your participation on your profiles. Commenter awards will be posted tomorrow. Update: 3rd May - All commenter awards for challenge month have been delivered. :)

Authors, please remember that for your betas to be eligible to receive an award for their work they must be credited in either the Story Notes for the fic or the Summary itself. I have double-checked through all of them so hopefully none were missed.
Another reminder authors, if you claimed an artwork from the challenge master list the artist must be credited in your story summary (see previous news post here for the information on how to do this). 

If you believe you should have an award(s) and you’ve been missed by mistake, please shoot a PM to me (angelic_amy) so I can sort it out.

A note about unclaimed banners
A reminder to the artists of our site – any of your wonderful banners and challenges that were unclaimed by the end of challenge month revert back to artist ownership. Meaning they’re yours to do with as you see fit. If you wish to add your challenge(s) and art to the site challenges page (located here) you are more than welcome to do so, but this is at your discretion and not a requirement.

This art ownership/reclaiming also includes banners that were claimed by authors but did not have a fic posted during the month of April.

Authors: if you claimed a banner but were unable to write and post part of your fic during April, please contact your artist if you intend to still post something connected to their art so that you may retain the banner you selected.
