4/1/16 Edit: Well, I guess our switch to an all Rangel site didn't go over as planned... April Fools! Of course the jig is up and it was all a joke. We know we put all this up before April 1 in the USA, where the majority of our members live. However, don't forget that 2 of our mods are Australian, and since it was April 1 for them, we technically weren't cheating

Thanks to all our members for playing along. We got some themed submissions, which was awesome and unexpected, and we had many lurky members comment and shout about our "new theme". We hope to keep hearing from you! Don't keep quiet until next year when we make this place a Clem/Teeth the loan shark archive

We know this may come as a surprise, but hear us out. The truth is that we love Spuffy, and always will. However, after some discussion, all the mods have come to the conclusion that Spuffy stories have run their course. We feel like there aren't many new ways to explore their relationship, and we are worried that this fact will cause excitement for the site to die down. We talked about a new direction for the site, and all agreed that we should begin to transition the site theme to the least explored, yet most dynamic ship in the BtVS universe: Angel and Riley! These two heroes share an explosive chemistry, and we're so excited to see all the directions that our talented authors can take their relationship.
We will continue to house our Spuffy stories as we fill up the archive with the new theme. To get your creative juices flowing, we have some beautiful new site banners, and some featured stories that highlight why we feel Angel and Riley are truly the pairing of the future. Thank you for your understanding, and for your patience as we begin this new chapter at Elysian Fields!

Ohhh my gosh..... that is sertanly a pairing I never thought would see the light of day. But what a dynamic direction for the site to go. I can just picture all the rangel stories now.... lmao
Truth be told I was shocked as hell when I saw the banner change. And then I remembered something and had a good laugh. This was a good one... yall are very clever and funny one. But I'll not give your secret away. I'll just wait and see if anyone else remembers too. I might have to write a one shot just to join in the fun.

This has to be an April fools joke. I mean, it's one thing to explore other ships for this site, but really? Angel and Riley? I don't believe it. I have a feeling that this was posted as soon as it turned 12:01 am April 1st where ever the creators/editors live.

Spuffy has been losing momentum since season four ended and it's only gotten worse since they got together for real. I'm thrilled to see that this site acknowledges that and is ready and open to change.
And thank god! Because it's seemed like for so long all of the good archive sites were exclusively Spuffy-focued. I'm so glad to get to see one for this pairing in particular too. People get so caught up on how much sexual chemistry characters have or how romantic they are or how much they like each other and it's honestly been driving me away from the fandom. Letting a real pairing like Riley and Angel take center stage is a testament to how much the fandom is willing to focus its energy on where the fans really are, rather than sticking to tradition.
Thank you all very much. I hope many to see many great fics come from this.

I love you guys. Seriously, it's so nice to finally feel secure, to find a community to share our live for the BEST SHIP EVER.
I mean, OBVIOUSLY. Angel and Riley are meant for each other and have the best chemistry in the entire series. Every scene they shared, they were like, "Buffy who?". This is a wonderful new direction and I look forward to all the new stories, which I'm sure will be plentiful!

Please tell me this is an April fools joke. I love this site so much because it has a lot of great spuffy stories and their my favorite pairing in the Buffy universe. Please don't tell me I'm not going to see more spuffy banners or any of their stories on here. That will be sad.

i think you guys did a great job with this for April Fools. When I came on this morning and saw the banner, I was thinking what happened to my Spuffy banner. Started reading and realized the spoof. and Angel and Riley together? you never know. they both are almost alike and could secretly be into each other. can't wait for next year's banner.
Thank God that it was all a joke. Here in Spain the "day of the non-guilty saints" (literal translation 
) is the 28th of December and I didn't know that there was a similar day in other countries. Please, never change.
