We did good! Thanks to all who contribute to this community, readers, writers, reviewers, even those who occasionally find themselves standing about, and of course our wonderful site owners/caretakers. I've been proud to recommend this site to several friends who've joined this year to reap it's bounty.
Yay for Spuffy! *throws confetti*
And at the risk of being self aggrandizing, I'm stupidly happy to be on both those lists
Very impressive! In all fairness to the other authors, I did not write all those words in 2016, though. Far from it! They're there because I spent much of the year posting things I'd written many years ago. So, if it's meant to reward someone who wrote a lot this year, maybe it shouldn't be me? Those 2, 000,000 + words are the accumulation of 14 years of writing. They just weren't archived here until recently.
The words were new to us, and you took the time to add them here, SMS, so it still counts. Enjoy your top honors :).
Also, probably easier to love them for the awesome Slaymesoftlywords they are than try and change the whole site code to not count them. 14 years of extended fandom deserves respect!
You folks are all Awesome - both with the stories and the reviews. Congrats to all and a special recognition for the reviewers - it means a great deal to the writers. Not that the reviews are the primary motivations for creating their works - but it certainly is nice knowing that other are reading and appreciating your work.
And my Great Big Thank You to all our wonderful administrators for making this such a wonderful and successful site.
All hail Susan, and the community members whose collaboration makes this place so magical!
Wow, that is brilliant to see. After all of this time this place is still going strong so that those of us who only returned to Buffydom relatively recently still have a place to be.This is amazing. Thank-you so much to Kathleen and Susan and anyone else whose name I don't know. So many wonderful stories and reviewers, I just want to hug everyone.
I'm still having a hard time believing I'm on the prolific list because I've written that much this year!
Thank you to the site admins who keep EF running, it is a big part of my life and barely a day goes by when I'm not reading, reviewing or writing for EF.
I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read or review my stories and adore the authors who work tirelessly to entertain us all and who never cease to amaze us all with new and clever Spuffy plots and quality writing.
Love to you all x
All I have to say is that my wordcount this year would be a big fat ZERO were it not for the positive influence and inspiration of the EF community. This is my favorite place in the internet.
Eleven million words in one fandom for one pairing is amazing Yay for EF!
Love these stats! Love it even more that clearly our fandom is alive and well, flourishing even. The talent it attracts just gets better and better too.
Thanks for not just this post, Susan, but for making it possible for the site to work properly too. We would be utterly lost without your skills.
