Non-native to England, but I've lived near London for over ten years. I have a job I adore; I'm married and have a toddler and three dogs! I'm a bit of a loner and need silence and ME time, which, luckily for me, my friends and family respect. Evenings are exclusively for my interests. Used to be mostly reading and Xboxing, but now also for writing.
I watched Btvs when it came out, but I was very young and probably didn't understand much of it. So in July 2023, off sick and very bored, I decided to rewatch it. I remembered only one scene: Buffy and Spike getting cuddly by a tree. So, after some googling, I started my rewatch from season 6, which, despite its flaws, is still my favourite. Then I watched from S4. Then, all over again from S1. And then again and again.
I'm autistic and can take an interest to obsession level. So, once I watched the series and everything YouTube had to offer, I discovered the world of fan fiction. I registered on EF absolutely convinced I was going to read only one or two fics (I didn't even bother picking a decent user name!), but here I still am. I've been reading the fantastic works on here nearly constantly since joining and a few multiple times. I have always loved reading, but since EF, my poor Kindle has experienced toothpaste, cooking oil, falling into the bath...
Fast forward seven months, an idea got stuck in my head, and eventually, I had to put it in writing if I wanted to hope I'd stop obsessing with it. And this is how my first fic was born.
I had too much fun, though, so I'm already drafting the next one :)
