Note: On indefinite hiatus/inactivity. I fall in and out of obsessions and it just happened that for a summer I was obsessed with this ship. I don't really feel too much passion for it right now, but who knows when I'll fall back into it. In the meantime, I'm writing for a whole bunch of other stuff on ao3 and occasionally post some of my unfinished drafts and occasional ideas here. Hi! Nice to meet you, I'm Amina!

I'm a 00s baby (pardon any anachronisms in my writing), so I didn't watch the show when it first aired, but my parents did. They were fans and bought all the dvd boxsets. As a result, I watched it growing up. I started rewatching it this summer and fell in love with the show.

My favorite character is probably Drusilla. In reality though, I'm most like Tara. I'm quite socially anxious and do struggle with a (luckily mostly inconsistent) stutter.

Like any show I'm significantly invested in, I have a love-hate relationship with BTVS. There are many people from the show who I do not support or respect, but I feel I can separate most of the (content they created for) the show from who they are as people. One of my issues with the show is that I think none of the canon ships are, in their entirety, healthy. This includes Spuffy. This is something I often try to improve on in my work. It's one of the reasons why I mostly work in AUs and why the vast majority of my work is not canon compliant. (If you like Spuffy as-is in canon, I won't judge you for that though. This is just a reflection of what I personally like and dislike about the ship, how I handle it to feel comfortable writing about/shipping it and my attempt to be transparent about it.

Beyond writing, I also create banner art. Works on this site which feature my work are: "He's a Friend from Work", "Railway tracks", "Eviled Eggs", "Boon", "The Switcheroo Incident", and my own of course.
