Story Notes: This story is written for the Elysian Fields Mystery Fic-A-Thon 2022 and is a sequel to my July 2021 Mystery Event story A Little Night Chaos.
[If you haven’t read that story or would like a brief recap, here are the main plot points: Spike (and Ethan Rayne) team up with the Scoobies to take down the Initiative. That happens in the timeline of “A New Man” and “The I in Team” and ends with the defeat of Adam and dismantling of the Initiative. Spike’s chip became disabled during the fight with Adam. In the aftermath, Spike promises Buffy he’ll continue eating bagged blood and in return Buffy will keep the secret of his disabled chip. Riley is in the hospital and Buffy has decided she just wants to be friends.]
