Summary: A response to a challenge by Mia Vaan. The Watcher's Council never tracks Buffy down when she's called to her destiny, but everything changes the night she encounters a certain bleached blond punk rocker. Set pre-series at Hemery High and will eventually work itself into a season 1 setting in Sunnydale.

I just fell in love with this challenge after reading it, so I really hope I can do it justice. :) Updates will be weekly. My chapters will also be a bit shorter than how I normally have them for my stories, but I decided that the length I've used here seems to work best in terms of the storyline. This will be one of those "slow build-up" kind of fics where Spuffy is concerned.

I've used the same names for Buffy's friends here that were in the film version from 1992, though I did try my best not to make them as superficial. While the movie falls incredibly short of measuring up to the awesomeness that is the show, I do still have a bit of a soft spot for it from watching it repeatedly with my sister when I was ten and she was eight. We actually used to quote it quite a bit.
