Interested in mythology, heroism, gods and monsters, all that good stuff. Having come to fanfic last year, I find I love what it does to characters - transforms them from linear (if compelling) stories into shifting, folk-tale-like figures who change roles and stories constantly, while keeping what makes them themselves. There's no difference between Buffy fanfic and stories of the knights of the Round Table, or of Anansi, or Robin Hood! 

My first fic, 'World Enough, and Time', is basically about this idea. My stories are plot-heavy, chock-full of references to folktales and classic literature, and are all about mythological themes. IRL, I'm a landscape painter.
