Basically:  Harmony and Riley hook up and this somehow leads to Spuffy

Options (choose one of these, mix and match, or come up with your own):

1) Harsh Light of Day (yes, that early), Harmony finds comfort with Riley after Spike kicks her out, and Biley never even starts / OR: Riley still ends up with Buffy but wonders what it would have been like if he'd stayed with Harmony instead & she's the one he goes to for the bites instead of random vamps at Willy's and the suck house

2) Harmony is Hostile #?? - captured by the Initiative either before or after Spike

3) Harmony is one of the vamps working at the suck house

4) Harmony knows about Riley going to the suck house and propositions him, saying she'll be better

5) Post Crush, Harmony decides to get revenge on Buffy for "stealing" Spike by stealing her boyfriend (i.e. Riley)

6) Into the Woods: When Riley goes to Spike's crypt with the plastic stake, Spike's not there, but Harmony is, and they get together

7) As You Were:  No Sam, it's Harmony who is Riley's perfect wife

8) Something in AtS Season 5?  Maybe Harmony and Riley are a couple when Spike shows up out of the amulet, and Harmony can't keep her mouth shut or Riley can't or ??

MUST HAVE:

Harmony and Riley need to legitimately get together.  This isn't just a fake dating/revenge/pretense thing (though it can start out that way)

The Harmony/Riley relationship needs to somehow bring about Spuffy (that is, it can't just be two separate parallel stories - the Harley needs to cause Spuffy)

Spuffy HEA/HFN

CAN HAVE:

Harmony and Riley don't have to stay together

Initiative shenanigans (including Harmony getting chipped / Harmony being a reason Riley agrees chipping is bad / ??)

Riley and/or Angel bashing (but not required)

Harley and Spuffy:  can be friends, enemies, or mixed

Riley can come to his senses about the Initiative, about the military, etc. and become a better person (but again, doesn't have to)

MUST NOT HAVE:

Bashing of any characters other than Riley and/or Angel (including no bashing of Harmony)
