Beta experience: I have beta-ed 2 stories on FanFiction.net, though neither were in the Buffy fandom. I have also written a few stories, also in other fandoms, that can be found on FanFiction. My penname is the same there as here. You can check them out if you need an idea of my writing style.
Story types/topics I will not beta: I will not read mpreg. Don't even ask. I also do not care for rape in stories. Songfics aren't really my thing either. As far as the Buffy fandom goes, I don't really like to read all human stories.
Additional Comments: I'm excellent at all things grammar-related. I have a pretty good eye for stylistic choices. I am also quite good at character study, and letting authors know if their writing is in character, and if the characters' actions and motivations are consistent with each other.

Beta experience: IRL editor, currently unemployed (thanks Covid!) with all the time in the world to Beta stories, and all of my brain power being spent on Spuffy. I used to beta friend's fics in high school, but that was by no means my last experience editing. I have a BA and Masters in English & Journalism, and I read ~ 3596 fanfics a year of various fandoms but mostly Spuffy. I'd love to work with writers on fics of any type, but I'm based in NYC with the knowledge of the city to match it, so can be of extra help to fic writers not based in NYC who need extra help. I can do pretty quick turn arounds as well. Looking to jump into a new story! Ping me if you'd like: dialogue help, plot help, meticulous line-by-line editing.
Story types/topics I will not beta: I'm not interested in working on incest fics or that ilk.
Additional Comments: NYC based & knowledgeable. Lots of research experience to help with beefing up any historical references you might want to use. Voracious reader of serious literary fiction/nonfiction, but also addicted to fanfic. Can help elevate beginning writers, or help streamline the writing of experienced ones. Double BA in English and Journalism. Masters in Narrative Nonfic. Professional editor and writer in real life.

Beta experience: I have worked as part of the Beta-reading team helping Hulettwyo work on her story 'Serivce Unit'.
I have also given some medical type background, info and feedback to a few different authors (including puddinhead)
Story types/topics I will not beta: I will NOT work on vamp Buffy stories under any circumstances.  I really don't like Buffy with fangs and no heartbeat.
I used to try and avoid all human stories,  but I am relaxing my views on that lately, so that  would be on a case by case basis.
Additional Comments: I have direct intensive knowledge (both professional and personal) of the medical field.  I work in a cancer hospital, so can relate and help with that (ie: Joyce's illness, cancer diagnosis & treatments).  I have also been on the patient's side of the bed, having had brain surgery, woke up on a respirator (life support) and seizures (now well controlled with medications) as well I am a survivor of breast cancer so I know how it feels to be a patient undergoing treatments.
I had stepped away from the fandom for awhile, but now I am back and willing to help again.

Beta experience: I have no beta experience, alas. I wrote a small amount of fic a long time ago but not for Buffy. I do read a lot of fic though! And I thought it was time to try to contribute.
Story types/topics I will not beta: No all human or kid fic please.
strong preference for HEA
Additional Comments: I do a certain amount of copy editing in my IRL job so I’m pretty good with grammar and general flow. I’m happy to talk about plot ideas. I’m a bit weak on season 3 but otherwise pretty strong on canon for Buffy itself, although I haven’t seen Angel. I’ve read seasons 9-11 of the comics. I know Latin if anyone wants that for spells? And some other languages? Um.... I know a fair bit about the 19th century in general and London and Cambridge in particular if that’s useful for William background?

Beta experience: I've been a beta on and off for about two years now. I've participated in a few big bangs for other fandoms as a beta, as well as beta read stories for friends. I joined the Buffy fandom a little over a year ago, so I'm still fairly new but I have been reading Spuffy fic the entire time and I'm excited to take the next leap into betaing here!
Story types/topics I will not beta: I haven't seen AtS or read the comics, so if your story requires canon knowledge of either of those then I'm probably not the right beta for you.
Additional Comments: Response times will vary but I can't imagine it taking me more than a week to get a chapter (or more, maybe up to 20/30k?) back to you. If you send it to me with advance notice on a Saturday morning then you'll probably have it back by Sunday night, but my brain tends to be a bit mushy after work on weekdays which is not conductive to beta reading.
In the past I've used both google docs and Word, but I'm happy to try out other easily accessible mediums.
If you're interested, send me a message so we can chat about your story and what you're looking for in a beta to see if we'll be a good fit :)

Beta experience: Okay so... mainly I've been the beta reader for one author only, and she doesn't write for BtvS. Her penname is Avecia, and you kind find her stories on fanfiction.net (I've been her beta for her TVD fanfiction only!). There are a few others, but their stories can only be found on their LJs, and you'd have to be friendlisted for that... ANYway. Just go and have a look at her stuff!
Story types/topics I will not beta: I will NOT beta anything that has any graphic rape, self-harm and/or suicide scenes.
It can be mentioned, but not anything in-detail.
Additional Comments: Oookay... first off: English is NOT my native tongue, so I'm not perfect with grammar or punctuation. I'm usually VERY good with spelling though.
I'm mean when it comes to plot mistakes (Like... one moment it was Sunday, the next is was Tuesday, red shirt turns maroon, ect...), wrong quotes and open story-threads. I WILL point them out mercilessly. But that's a good thing (at least in my opinion). MY usual beta-reader is American, AND an English teacher to top it off, so I know what it feels like to see only red where the original story was plain black on white...
Also, I have a million story ideas in my head, and not enough time to sit down and write them (it's WAY faster to proof read, than do the actual thinking-and-story-writing....) - so feel free to pick my brain.
I guess that's it^^.

Beta experience: I've never beta-ed before but would really like to give this a shot. I work as an advertising writer IRL and have been doing this for 16 years. I'm adept at editing and would be happy to help if you want someone to bounce plot ideas with. I'm also a history buff and am available to help you with research should you need it.

Additional Comments: I'm new to fanfiction and fandom in general although I've been madly in love with Spike for about 20 years.
