Summary: This is a challenge response from Bloodshedverse (#335 to be exact). While chasing a demon, Buffy and Spike come through a portal to arrive in Season 5. Finding a way home at times takes a back burner to trying to help their younger selves get through difficult times. Spoilers starting at the end of Fool for Love and throughout the rest of Season 5.

A quick note: anytime Abby mentions Dawn, it's the Dawn in the dimension that Buffy, Spike, and Abby come from. Abby also mentions Willow, meaning the Willow in that same dimension. I hope that keeps things clear.
