what's the best use of canon? Finding better fan creators to explore how lacking canon is.

I adored Spike from the first moment he came on screen. If Angel was the ponciest git to ever flounce off to brood, Spike was the cockiest punk to ever strut around.

My day job is in textbooks while my side hustles are... every other kind of book pretty much. I read. I write. I play video games. There's silence in my life since I grew up and I don't sleep on a bed of bones.

If I'm not discussing the written word in its variety of forms I'm likely on twitter rantingdiscussing whatever show I'm obsessively streaming. Half the time those shows aren't American.

I'm alternately described by my friends and enemies as blithely morbid with an esoteric sense of knowledge or winsomely macbre with a penchant for self-destructive behaviors. I'm 90% sarcasm and 50% hyper enthusiasm that not even age has managed to temper.

I trend in reading towards either ridick one-shots (make it cracktastic!), dangerously painful one-shots (how else will I cry?) or super long multi-chapter fics (gimme 300+ pgs or gimme death).

Fics (updated 3-25-21)

COMPLETE

  • Five Times Spike Wrote to Buffy

WORKS IN PROGRESS

  • Living Like This (we were already dead): don't make wishes on the Hellmouth. Don't accept fancy jewelry from Evil Law Firms. Don't change the past to make the future better. Who really reads the fine print? Or Buffy & Spike are unmixy when it comes to rules, everyone knows this. But it usually still works out right?

Summary: The Senior Partners, after a long discussion, decide that they’ve been trying to take care of “the Angel Problem” in all the wrong ways. Even for Beings of a Certain Age as they are (no don’t ask their age, the Hart gets really cranky when someone reminds them) they can be a bit blind to the obvious.

So off they send a group of canon fodder interns to Sunnydale to help them find the solution to their problem. One jelly donut, two spilled coffees and a star struck witch straight from the hollers of Eastern Kentucky later…the Senior Partners have regrettably made another enemy.

He couldn't save the girl, but he'd dust before allowing anyone she cared about to be harmed.

Or Spike finds comfort in writing letters to Buffy, even if he knows she can't receive them.
