When Buffy first aired, I was so young. I think my dad got into it a little late but I remember refusing to watch it with him because I thought it was a boy show because he and my brother both liked it. Oh boy, was I wrong.

Anyway, fast forward a year and I caught up watching reruns with him and fell in LOVE. We taped Buffy. It was a family wide obsession. We played a car game consisting of Buffy trivia questions which I dominated at until my dad asked me "What's the first song Buffy ever sang on the show?" I proudly declared "Going Through the Motions" and he finally won the game because it was "Macho Man." He and my mom wouldn't play the game anymore because someone else had finally beat me. I had a Buffy B cake one year with wax vampire teeth for decoration. I dressed as Spike for Halloween when I was like 10. I remember my heart breaking when Buffy told Angel "What are you, twelve?" Because I was twelve when I watched that episode. I memorized the choreography to the dance during "Life's a Show." Bought the OMWF CD and many years later, met James Marsters and he autographed his picture. I thought I was going to die. My father danced with me at my wedding to "Standing". This has been a lifelong, ridiculous, bonding thing for me and my whole family.

I'm grown now with some youngins and I can't watch the show that often anymore but thanks to you lovely writers, my fellow Buffy fanatics, you keep it alive for me with beautifully rewritten Season 6's, total rewrites, time travelling fix it's, hilarious humor and wit, and of course, Spuffy all.day.long. I've just recently entered the realm of writing to add to the community. Everyone has been so completely uplifting and encouraging and I appreciate it more than you can imagine. And if you read this entire History of Briar's Obsession with BtVS, thanks for that too.

Happy reading, writing, and Spuffy-lovin'!!!

Summary: A season 6 story where Giles doesn't leave Sunnydale, realizing how much Buffy really needs him. Through a turn of events, Giles ends up getting knocked out (no shock there) but instead of his usual concussion, he's in a coma.
Encouraged to speak to Giles during this time, the Scoobies take turns staying with him.
What the visitors don't know is that Giles hears everything. Even the things he never, ever wanted to hear.
