I'm a down-home Kentuckian with a culture influenced by the fringe South and roots that trek back to the original 13 colonies, as Kentucky was known as Kentucky County, Virginia.  Not quite bible thumping, but definitely near the top of the chart, along with ma'am, sir, soup beans and taters, real southern fried chicken and fried green tomatoes. Damn it.  Now I'm hungry.  Flitter bread for everyone!

I'm retired and solo having lost the love of my life and refuse to even consider dating.  So I live vicariously through Spuffy and plot revenge against Angel and any villain or Scoob foolish enough to go rogue.  MuuuHaaaa!

My spelling sucks.  Not even the threat by my grade school teacher to give a lick with the paddle for every misspelled word managed to overcome that flaw.  Today, I'd be diagnosed with dyslexia.  Then, it was deemed sheer rebellion and stubbornness.  Well, I couldn't argue, cause I was that too.  Except just over stuff like conformity and clicks.  Never over spelling, because I love words. I earned every lick I got.  So, if we had 20 words that day, I would inevitably end up getting 20 licks. Gave me a phobia that kept me from writing for years. Needless to say, I love spellcheck.  But even it is not infallible.

Thank you to all the authors for the years of enjoyment that this site has given me. Especially the grief counseling during my mourning period.  You guys rock.

Now, I am an introvert and so I go through stages with the default being a lurker.  Right now, I am more into a rare maniacal stage.  So if I go silent or there are stretches where I don't respond to comments, etc, it isn't that I don't want to, it is that I can't.  Eventually, I'll Be Back!

FYI: Apologies for my learning period on the intricacy of posting fan-fic and a nugget of info I gleamed from "I'd Never Fool Carl", don't try to polish your work in that time frame "after submission, before approval" as your updates will disappear and if you did not backup your changes in your own records, they will never to be seen again.  Or is it just me that tweaks continually?

Summary: Young Buffy's internal dialog as she finds herself in that between time.

Discharged into the care of her newly-separated-divorce-imminent mother, Buffy is instructed to "do whatever it takes" to get over her absurd hallucinations. Working to be readmitted to school, Buffy is jumping through hoops while still fluctuating between anger, resentment, bouts of restrained violence, and bits and bods of residue psychotic drugs affecting her psychic, along with the guilt of the blood of her classmates on her hands.

With that enigma riddle image of herself floating just out of reach and the angry, twisted words of a vindictive therapist playing through her head, which so does not mix with hew own anger at being "chosen", Buffy prepares for yet another session of "conform and be normal".

Summary: A little snippet that ran through my head years ago. Completely unbetaed and fair warning, I suck at commas and grammar.  So all errors are always and forever mine. I had planned to include this in a larger tale, but unfortunately, life got in the way.

Buffy and Spike witness a humorous sighting while strolling through the mall.
