Well, I started watching Buffy when it was first on TV at 8 years old. My older sister had a Pop Culture assignment to watch this new show and write about it. I watched the premier with her and I was hooked. If I couldn't watch live I recorded it on a blank VHS! 😂

You know, as a kid I didn't really 'get' most of anything besides the basics and thought the fighting was cool, so it was really fun rewatching once the box sets came out. I feel like I saw something new each time and with different meaning as I aged.  

I started getting into the 'fandom' around 10-11 via the interwebs. The Bronze boards and The Crypt chat room were some of the first I remember. We'd RP and post about the show, it was fun. Then there was this cool thing called fan videos to try and make with random files you'd download illegally, those were pretty sweet. 😎 

I was pretty involved with SlayerVerse and BuffyWorld at one point in time and that's about when I heard about fan fic. I at first was intrigued but didn't really read much until I realized there were like 7 entire sites dedicated to Spuffy vs generic FanFic.net or something. Whoa. 😳

Pretty sure I joined them all and just dug in. There's a handful left that are active, as in the sites are still up, but EF remains full of life! It's crazy to see how many people are in here posting new fic, reading/commenting, participating in challenges... It's so awesome!
