Summary: What if Buffy had paid more attention to what Spike said directly after, "Out. For. A. Walk . . . Bitch."? How would she have responded if she'd caught his blunder? An alternate Season 5 unfolds. Note: this fic closely adheres to canon, but with a Spuffy twist. Think of it as "How Season 5 Should Have Been".
M for action/violence/torture, mild language, character deaths, and "lusty wrong feelings". ;)
