Aww a happy ending :) thanks for writing this :) it was refreshing to find a good 19th Century story that was interesting throughout :)
Summary: William 'Spike' Tennant made a deathbed promise to his best friend and he comes home to realise it, though the promise is going to be hard- taking care of his best friends wife, the woman Spike has loved his whole life.
