Occurs during “The I in Team” and “Goodbye Iowa” but goes AU during the fight with the Polgara. Some dialogue taken from both these episodes and I take no credit for them, though they may have been repurposed for this story.
Also, please note that as I did research for this chapter, I had to watch the fight scene with the Polgara several times, which was interspersed with Buffy and Riley having sex for the first time, and I hadn’t remembered how utterly disturbing this whole scene is.
