Earlier versions of the story had William's last name as "Langley" instead of "Pratt," since "Pratt" had not been established in canon yet. I have made that correction here.
When I originally wrote Fool's Paradise for the William Ficathon, I was recovering both physically and emotionally from a miscarriage. It was a pretty dark time in my life and I left our poor guy in a pretty dark place, too. I always thought I would go back and somehow rescue him from where he was but I could not find the time, energy, or inclination.
Please enjoy the newly written, unbeta'd chapter that will frame the eventual sequel. I'm making no promises when that will happen but it's at least a happier ending!
