This was a serious mind trip, loved every second of it. It's horrifying to think that they could strip away her personality and just leave a shell like that behind. Loved that spike was able to break her out of some of it even before they removed the chip, loved this story![Report This]
Mmmmm, love me some dark futurefic... I am torn between wanting more and thinking it's perfect at its current length. Which probably means it's the right length, but I need more of your writing. Don't know if you will ever get this, as it is ten years(!) since this was posted, but if this ever reaches you, THANK YOU![Report This]
Perfect ending to a perfect story. Sigh. So many things left to be worked through, but it's still a perfect close. Gotta leave some things to our imaginations, after all. :) So bittersweet to think about all of the things she's gone through but it's comforting to know she has Spike on her side to help her get through everything. Thank you for sharing this tale, I truly love it![Report This]
Oh, this is just perfect. Poor Spike. Poor Buffy. I really love everything about this story--your attention to detail is just incredible! Their fight was great, the sex was hot and I just love love love that it was her words that made him realize who she was. And her reaction... Oh, my poor, poor girl. I teared up for her, and that last line... Fantastic!![Report This]
I am just fascinated with everything about this! The set up is outstanding--just enough information to hook me but keep me wondering, so well written... and that opening. I am so bloody curious to learn more! Poor Buffy with a chip in her head--I bet Spike won't find the reality as amusing as he did when he cracked that joke! Love her reaction to his picture and can't wait for them to meet! This really is truly excellent![Report This]
But i think, it wants to be much longer and much darker.
I thought Buffy had submitted herself to Initiative after findining out how her friends ''spared her new shiny life from unnecessary
messing with by corrupted associates of Wolfram&Hart.'' Of course, no Rome and no ''Bloody Immortal''. It all was a plot of Council to ''protect her'', as she thought, from Angel spies.
