Amazing!!! As always!!! No problem if want to post earlier!! No problem at all!! If want to post everyday I would not complain!! At all!! I can’t get enough of this one!! I love Anya and was always so mad cause she was so underused!! She has so much knowledge and the how “demons can’t love” could be resolved if someone just asked her!! I already read this story like five times, and of course every new chapter makes me end up reading everything again!!! Pleaaaaaaase more!! I so need much more!!
Wow. Your words humble me. I'm so glad you like this.
First of all, thank you for taking the time to review. Spike is currently without minions, because he let all of them go as soon as he discovered the Amara Treasure (as he did in canon, too). It was one way of making sure not everyone knew what he had. He is living in a cave (as he did with Harmony). He might decide later to move some-place else (more human-friendly perhaps).
As for saving captured demons, you are completely right. They all need to be taken out of there, since nobody deserves to be treated that way, no matter what they did.
Well knowing who the werewolf they do have is it might not be a bad idea to let them keep her. She is trouble with a capital T.
That she is, no doubt there, but on the other hand nobody deserves the Initiative's 'good mercies.'
Yay for Willow. She is actually reflecting on what she did and not only what did happen but all that could have happened. She's going for training before the wheels come off! She can learn and use that wonderful ability of hers without the drawbacks in canon.
Good for Harmony in not being anywhere near the blonde bimbo she can seem at times. She's not giving Walsh what she wants, not for nothing at least. I'm glad because I rather like Harmony.
Riley broken up in the hospital is for the best.
I really don't want them to grab Spike! He's not as vulnerable as in canon but he's also being targeted rather heavily too and Walsh is single-minded. Riley will want his pound of flesh as well.
Thank you very much. I'm glad you like Harmony, since I found I like her too (or, at least, I like writing her). Willow needs the training to prevent becoming a monster.
Thank you very much for your words.
This is a good Willow, she understand that her actions are the reason for her friends alienating themself from her. She doesn't blame anyone else and she understand what she did was wrong and how bad it was for those involved. This is all very promising for Willow, she has a good chance here.
I did greatly enjoy Harmony, I love it when she isn't as stupid as she make people belive, she do have some cunning.
I'm glad you like what I did to the characters, and I hope they continue to entertain.
It's good that Willow recognises that it's her own fault she's become semi-detached from her friends.
Also good to see Buffy acknowledging her relationship with Spike when discovered by Willow, rather than becoming all defensive and blaming it all on Willow's spell & Spike's evilness.
Harmony might be thick, but she's cunning....
Oh dear, looks as if it won't be long before Riley's up and about again...
Glad you like my version of the characters, with a bit more spine, and ability to acknowledge what they're actually feeling. Thank you.
RL has been kicking my backside this past month; haven't had a chance to really read and review much.
i thoroughly enjoyed how joyce talked with the scoobies. why oh why didn't we hear more from joyce in canon? but with this fic, you're really bringing two underused voices to bring a different light to our beloved characters.
i enjoyed the slight confrontation between giles and xander regarding how everyone barged into his home. loved the line about 'that was giles speak for 'f--- off' if he'd ever heard it'.
slow burning communication between buffy and spike - very nicely paced; of course there will be denial buffy and gruff spike ... but this site proves the two personalities mesh very well (and i don't mean the interlocking kind that anya likes to talk about ...)
It's okay about the reviews, and I'm glad you managed to catch up. Hope RL lets off a bit. I'm glad you liked the story and I hope you'll enjoy the continuation too.
Well, after this I expect that Xander will be knocking at the door in the future. I loved the way Giles spoke, all the little subtle things. Spike managed to say some truly great things when he arrived. I can sympathies with Xander, my mind too tends to focus on the things I don't want to see. Also good to see Spike point out that if he really wanted Giles dead, there would be a lot of ways.
Hearing that Xander wanted help to look for a job made Anya go over to the money mind set, I could almost feel Giles dissappointment😀
Finally Spike managed to corner Buffy and get them to talk. He did another perfect thing of pointing out some facts. Two vampires wouldn't be more alike than two humans. Well, they did talk. I do think that Buffy is demanding too much from Spike, but I can understand her reasoning and Spike would do anything for love.
Thank you for the review. I'm glad you liked all the parts you mentioned. As for Giles, I wouldn't be too sad for him. Once Anya finishes talking about money, I'm sure she'll be even more... enthusiastic.
Buffy and Spike have a lot of talking to do, still, but at least they've agreed to give it an honest try.
Persistent Spike finally getting a proper pay-off!
Love you addressing Xander and the habit they all have of just barging in at Giles home. That always drives me crazy! The only reason they didn't walk into something very private is that they never treated Giles as a sexual being on the show really (and that's stupid because he is a fine looking and not old at all man!). Xander got an eyeful. Interesting that his mind went to Spike and Giles when picturing that orgy LOL. I think he's been dating in the wrong pool.
I think Buffy is asking far too much of Spike that he not even hit humans. Glad he made the point that he might have to. Fact is she's asking more of him with that than she would a human boyfriend! I'd let him catch and release as long as it wasn't enough taken to make the human weak but I can see her not willing to go there. As always she's judging Spike through the lens of Angel. That is so foolish! Stalin was a human...does that mean that all human males will kill millions? I could make a long list of other murderers, rapists, serial killers, thugs and so on but we don't write off a whole gender (or in Buffy's case it would be species) because of the actions of some others! She needs to work on that thinking.
Glad she's decided to give them a chance and hope she's not going to be just looking for things to push him away out of fear. What she's really afraid of is being emotionally vulnerable!
So sorry you broke foot parts! VERY painful! Poor Sotia, you'll have to take her somewhere special later as a thank you. *hugs*
Thank you for the review. I'm glad you agree with some of the points I tried to make. As for Spike and Buffy, let's not forget that they're still new at being together so I think that they'll manage to hash out things as time progresses. She has unrealistic expectations, sure, but she isn't just dismissing him out of hand either.
Yas so worth it!! I'm so excited to see how excited he is about her choosing him and deciding to take the risk. They're so cute and communication is always A+, especially for people as bad at it in canon as Spuffy lol
They really sucked at communication, but that's why Buffy having spent the past year talking to Anya, and learning to speak her mind, comes into play. Thank you.
Loved Spike's speech. As usual, he was spot on. Thank you for writing a Buffy who stopped to think before blurting tried and true discriminatory reactions at him. Have to say, I do feel sorry for what poor Xander stumbled into, but it was genius to have Anya think his future financial welfare trumped her orgasms. Bravo!
I'm very glad you liked this. I'm trying to portray a Buffy that, due to Anya's influence, is a bit more mature, and therefore less prone to knee-jerk reactions. Not that she won't have them (she's still Buffy), but she'll maybe take a second to think, too.
Glad you liked that bit about Anya :D
