Well, Dawn have a point with everything she is saying but she said it in anger, she shouldn't have been so harsh. Maybe a bit guilt was involved too? Dawn didn't treat Spike all right either, that's something they could bond on. So my feelings are mixed, she wasn't wrong in what she was saying but she shouldn't said it like that and she herself is not without blame.
I also liked how Buffy was thinking in the beginning.
Thank you for the review. I agree Dawn had a point in what she was saying and I wanted to have someone not be there for Buffy (at least not at first) and I feel Dawn is the only other person who would really grieve Spike's death besides Buffy.
Wtf dawn? You saw how bad Buffy was when she came back from heaven and spike ended up being the only one who didnt push her to pretend.. now after all the scoobies threw her out of her own home they think that everything is just ok?
Buffy lost her only real lifeline and dawn made it all about herself.
Im willing to bet that buffy hasnt even really had time to grieve the loss of Joyce let alone her own death and Spikes.
Shut up and be helpful for once you spoiled little brat
Thank you for the review! I agree that Buffy has a lot to grieve for and has had no where near enough time to grieve.
I think Dawn needs to grow up. She's not wrong about how poorly Buffy treated Spike (that's part of what's hurting Buffy now...regrets). Still, she, Dawn, was far from loving towards Spike after he returned from getting his soul too so it's a case of pot/kettle there. Her turning on Spike (while he understood she was "sticking up" for her injured sister) was hurtful in that she never had a discussion with him about what happened or his leaving. She let him go to that last battle feeling that she hated him in spite of the years of closeness they had between them.
Willow should have warned Dawn at least of Buffy's condition. It had to be a shock to see the mess and see how thin Buffy was (and she was pretty stick thin by the end of Chosen already.).
Thanks for leaving a review, I agree Dawn really needs to grow and hopefully you will notice Dawn growing throughout this story. I also had Willow not tell Dawn about how Buffy has been doing for reasons that should be explained in the next chapter.
I don't know if Giles would have been decent had Xander not stepped up to the plate. Honestly, Spike should have earned at least all of their respect after Glory tortured him and he stayed that summer to help while Buffy was dead but we all know they didn't.
Glad she has support. Grief is hard enough but when you are utterly alone it is unbearable.
Thanks for reviewing! I agree Spike definitely should have earned their respect after what Glory did to him.
Of course Buffy is scared about telling them. Giles can indeed be blind but in the end he did give his support. Xander is supporting from the start, which make sense since he can understand what she went through. He brought up a good point, they could have helped each other grief.
Thank you for leaving a review! I really wanted to have the scoobies be supportive of Buffy in this fic but I also wanted them to be honest with her, I hope I was able to express that in this chapter.
Good to see that Buffy now is planning to end that grieving cycle, then she can start to grieve in a healthier way. It was good that it was Willow who was checking up on her. She was probably the best to talk with for now. This let in some more hope in the story.
Thanks for reviewing, I'm glad you can see hope for Buffy in this story, I really want her to find happiness again in this story.
I hope they would see it the way Willow has expressed it. Spike died a hero who saved the world and ended the apocalypse. Even if that wasn't the case, Buffy loves him and that is all that should matter.
Good that Buffy has decided to let someone in. Spike wanted her to live.
Thanks for the review! I agree Spike died a hero to save the world and should be seen that way.
Buffy is counting the days. I can see that happening as a way for her to grieve, day 147 will be extra hard, she probably have some sort of hope for that. The fact that we know that Spike actually is back makes the sadness an even bigger part.
Thanks for reviewing, I am looking forward to writing day 147, hope you enjoy that chapter when it comes out!
I'd really love it if you continue. And hopefully, being a sucker for a Spuffy ending, there will come a day that doesn't count for Buffy just as there was for Spike. Plus, I would kind of like to see the Scoobies' reactions to this, since Buffy actually seems to be allowing herself to grieve and show that grief, and their various reactions to seeing that she truly did love Spike would definitely be interesting to see. Them actually getting it for a change.
Thank you for you're response. I have decided to continue and have just posted the next chapter! There will be a chapter coming soon full of all the Scoobies reactions to Buffy's true feelings for Spike.
I knew this feeling 7 1/2 years. My 127th day was Dec 12th, 2010.
You learn to live. But there's definitely a gaping hole in your heart and life.
So, please, write more. Maybe show how hard it can be, or maybe make a better ending.
Thank you so much for you're response. I have decided to continue and have just posted the next chapter!
