I remember loving this the first time round - Agnes is always a delight, and so is your insecure Spike.

You do capture the oh so polite Aggie so wonderfully. One might think you had personal experience of her type and Olde Worlde Tea Shoppes

I haven't read your Angnes stories yet but reading this has reminded me that I must.

This was a sweet little story with enough Spike in it to make it legit on EF (IMO).

Have a lovely Christmas x

Thank you so much for liking my short Agnes piece.  I'm sure you'll enjoy Business as Usual and the - as yet - unfinished, A Nice Little Business. And don't forget that Agnes is almost canon.   In The Replacement, Spike refers to the lady who runs a tea-room in the local garbage dump!   Happy Reading.

As I always say, I love the way Agnes is thinking. She is a vampire but live a life more "normal" than many humans. Demons are like most people. I liked how she thought about Richard.

Excellent!  I really love the look back at Agnes and her early days not to mention how she met her Richard.

I fully enjoyed Agnes' take on Angels and their duty too.  No reason her Guardian should abandon her.

I'm sure Richard made certain that conditions improved there for all the hard working demons.

Completely loved this short look at Agnes and her memories.

Poor Agnes. Losing her tea shop that way.

I love your Agnes stories!   She is firmly fixed in my Sunnydale canon forever.

This is a lovely story, with Agnes still trying to make sense of the new vampire world she belongs to.  I think Agnes is so charming and relatable because the reader wants to believe that they too would hold on to their humanity and wonder, just like Agnes, despite no longer having a soul.  Despite the cruel realities of the world, Agnes' hopes and dreams serve to pull her through.

Every time I read Agnes I am warmed by her unflappable and unassuming strengh.  She would never make a fuss, she simply carries on the best she can with wit, charm, and a firm belief in what is right.  I love her!

Thanks for another lovely portrait of our favorite vampire tearoom proprietor!  Happy Christmas!

Hi and thank you so much for such a kind review.  Just to let you know I have put a slightly more site-friendly version up now as was worried that the original didn't meet the site rules. This one is OK!

Glad you are enjoying Agnes' stories.  I have one more to put on, but it is a bit short, so will try to lengthen it.
