This is just great - I love how you are pulling in all kinds of esoteric information, mashing up real science with magic; military lingo with D&D lingo. Actually, the real science sometimes seems too bizarre to be real, lol. You must have a physics background or know someone who does. And the shrinking Magic Bus reminds me of that wild bus ride in Harry Potter ("Nearly there, nearly there").

And Liam/Angelus gets his just desserts. For some reason, as he broke into Faith's room, I imagined him like

A small, peripheral inaccuracy: "...America’s only particle physics and accelerator lab." - oops, not true. In addition to SLAC (probably the one you mean?), there are accelerators/synchrotrons/cyclotrons and particle physics labs at other sites in the US: Brookhaven NL, Oak Ridge NL, Thomas Jefferson NL, Los Alamos NL. Although Fermilab shut down its Tevatron accelerator in 2011, there are a couple of synchrotrons still actively used. (Husband was a particle physicist, have a few friends who work at SLAC.)

Wow! Great plotty tension & repurposing of canon. Willow is so unrepentantly evil in this story. The scary part is that she doesn't realize that she's evil; she thinks she's doing the right thing and saving her friends. So many real world parallels to this.

 Congratulations on a wonderful story - it's a great combination of Buffy's return to life and these mystical children - enjoyed it very much.  Like how you used all of the characters - would be nice to have a Christmas story to go with this work.
