Whoa, it got so heavy there at the end! Buffy always trying to kill the mood. And Spike always trying to kill her mood by talking about his emotions. They are such a mess.
They so are. Thank you for your comments. :D
Wow! This was really beautiful and really drool worthy, the second to the last part of this fic was as expected but I am glad you didn't break my heart with the ending. Short but really amazing and very well written! so yeah, Kudos for you!
Thank you. They had such a journey.
Really excellent piece. I can easily understand how difficult loving Spike would have been for Buffy, not just the Slayer. She had a soft heart and sense of responsibility for those who lost lives, those she couldn't save. To let herself love someone who unashamedly had taken many lives, even if he no longer did so, would have been terribly difficult. You capture that wonderfully with her stopping to think about the blood in his veins.
Then again "Someone or something had to die so that he continued existing" Could be said about all of us. If we eat meat, poultry, fish...a living creature with feelings of some sort had to die. Same for most vegetables although now much they feel is up for debate.
Thank you. I think she just can't get past the demon and basically, she's sleeping with the enemy. Have to admit I was always annoyed at how easily they forgave each other but not Spike. His journey was so much the better for that, I think. Thanks for the excellent comments.
