What a sweet story! :) I can just see this happening - the characters are written spot on! And you were able to create a lot of substantial information in a short amount of time, which, for me, is such a hard thing to do. Awesome job! :D
Thank you so much. I'm glad it worked for you, coming, as it does, in between the first one and the (probably) last one.
"Maybe I didn't believe that you really loved me and was afraid to find out I was right. Maybe I thought you'd be better off without me."
My personal headcanon is pretty much this. I think there were a lot of little things and one BIG HUGE THING, that he was reluctant to see her again and have her potentially take back those three magic words. Because Spike is a romantic to a fault and, underneath the whole cool guy bravado, really really insecure. I'm sure there were other contributing factors related to Buffy and related to his being at W&H, but at the end of the day, I'll never be convinced it wasn't mostly fear. The big ol' plonker.
LOL I suspect you're probably right.
He's a berk. But then, that's part of the reason I can't help loving him, so... Silly beggar!
John-Spike sounds pretty confident about wanting the memories back - If it were me, I know I wouldn't want the vampire-part of the memories back at all. Brave man.... wanting to go ahead with the mojo-getting-memories-back-magic - there is always a price.
Well, it must be very frustrating not to remember who you really are. May or may not work out for him...
A good little piece. We can see some of the issues about him getting his memories back. There is of course a risk that all the old memories would "drown" this personallity but tyat would just mean that he would become more Spike than John.
*nods* John seems like a pretty cool guy. I wonder if Buffy would really want Spike back?
Ooooo now I am wondering, if he gets his Spike memories back, will he remember being John? And I can totally understand Buffy's worries. What they have is so sweet and they can have the life they never could. If Spike remembers, I don't see how he could be ok with being Joe Normal...
Loving this series!
I'm glad you're enjoying it. That's the question, isn't it? Will Spike be all right with it? If he can even remember. Who knows? Not me!
