I don't know if anyone will read this comment, but I thought I'd post it anyway. I love this story, loved the way you portrayed the characters :) I'm a sucker for a good spuffy fic (obviously, since I came here :p ), and I would love to read what happens next, how the rest of the LA part is resolved and how Buffy will tackle the Sunnydale situation, now that Spike's back. I know we'll probably never see the rest of this story, since it's been 4 years since the last update, but a guy can hope right? Anyway, great story, too bad that it's not finished, maybe you'll come back to it someday :)
I just reread your story because I love it so much. I know this will never be completed but I still love it. I really liked the trials. So many selfish people would pull the person they wanted from heaven, but Buffy wouldn't. I just thought you had great ideas for all the trials. I may have moved on to other fandoms but every so often I have to get my Buffy fix and your story will always be one of my favorites.
Thanks for the memories, Laura[Report This]
I’ve been reading everything I can on this site since I found it a few days ago, devouring work after work, and I haven’t commented on any until now.
You are an absolutely fantastic writer.
I saw this fic in my browsing and originally I avoided it, because I was a little worried Spike wasn’t going to come back in it, and it would just be Buffy mourning. I usually also avoid incomplete fics, but I’m so glad I read this one.
I want to thank you. The way you addressed so many things, your characterizations- god, I can’t begin to describe. Xander acting reasonably and growing up is such a breath of fresh air. Xander and Anya having another chance. Willow being Willow again. Angel and Buffy both moving on, happily. Spike’s actions towards the end of Season 6 being addressed in a real way, forgiven but not excused- that part was so important to me. Spike having a soul, his character with it, everything it meant for him to have it- I really appreciate that you kept the meaning of that, that you showed why he might need it. Giles’s mistakes being addressed- fully addressed, and still given a path to redemption. Every character made perfect sense. Every character was in character, every choice backed by deep motivation.
I don’t even mind that it’s incomplete. You wrote just enough that I can imagine they’ll find a way to close the Hellmouth without Spike or Buffy dying, even if you never figured out how they’d do it. I can imagine Giles changing and Dawn and Buffy being sisters again. Everything could wrap up eventually. It would be really, really nice to find out how- but I understand, as I’ve written a number of stories myself, how difficult it is to finish a fic that hits this point.
I hope that the reason you haven’t finished this is because you’re off making buckets of money as a writer of your original work, because your writing is amazing. If I found them I’d read any other works of yours(aside from the ones I’m about to read, your other works that are already posted).
Thank you, thank you, thank you for an awesome story! <3[Report This]
Just wanted to say how much I love this story. This is my second time reading and I’m sure won’t be my last because I’ve ferreted this away in my comfort fics stash lol. Just wanted to thank you for writing it and say that if there are ever any more new chapters I’ll definitely come running. Thank you again.[Report This]
I absolutely adore this story! I hope you come back to it because I need to find out how they defeat The First. Spike is still not safe - The First said he's the only one who can close the Hellmouth, which is the only way to defeat The First. How do they find a way around that? Or did Buffy go through the Trials only to have to watch Spike sacrifice himself for the world? Plus, your writing is beautiful and I need more of it.[Report This]
I was so afraid he was still going to say "no, you don't" but thank goodness he didn't. I mean, seriously, her back is like visible proof!
There was so much to love in this chapter, and I loved it all 💕[Report This]
Ok ok I love Xander as the voice of reason! It's so...opposite how he was in like every other season.
I can't put this down because your writing is so vivid. I'm in Giles' head, I'm in Buffy's head -- hell, I'm even in The First's head! Simply marvelous work here, really truly.[Report This]
Oh my god, this was heart breaking...poor Buffy! Kudos to you because I am mourning, too. There was so much powerful imagery, and the way you described Buffy's emotions was sublime. I am impressed. I am prepared for more darkness, but I am impressed.[Report This]
