In HIS day Absinthe had real kick to it, drug, drink and tonic all in one; freeing humans of their pointless inhibitions and making them right fun to watch and far more interesting to drink.
Nice one. I wonder if he drank with Toulouse-Lautrec and his crowd?
“Sod off Harris…”
“Would that be sod, like the grass that’s growing out of your head?”
Neat jibe. Score one to Xander!
“Yeah, because the Jolly Green Vampire gives off such a menacing vibe.
Very neat line. Poor Spike.
Do people really do that pinching thing on St Patrick's Day? You'd have thought Spike might have got a jibe in at the vampire with the Worst Irish Accent Ever, mind you!
This was great fun. Poor Buffy, trying to explain away the "grass stains"!
Glad you enjoyed this one. It was pure silliness! I really need to make time to write some one shots and have a little fun. May Day is coming up...hmmm...think of the fertility rituals.
Lmao
Thanks for taking the time to let me know you enjoyed it! This one was way silly.
This was so cute! I loved it!!
Thanks! Fun to be silly.

That was really fun 💕 loved it 💚
Thanks for taking the time to read and comment. This was such silly fun to write. Part of why I love writing Spuffy is that there are so many facets to their relationship, from the silly/ridiculous to the most poignant and heart tearing.

Love it needs a sequel
Thanks for reading and reviewing. Hmmm...what color should I turn him next time? Lol.

Good retort to Willow about restoring Angel’s soul but she’s not able to do this.
And Buffy let down her inhibitions while using the tried and true “wrestling” excuse.
Thanks so much for reading and taking the time to comment. Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. I've lost internet connection to my home and haven't been able to spend time here with my much loved community.

😂😂😂 this was a Fun idea😁! Thank you for sharing!
Oh gosh, this one was just so silly...but it's nice to take a breather and delve into the land of giggles now and then! Thanks for reading and reviewing.

"Jolly Green Vampire" ........ asparagus
Glad you got a laugh out of it! Sometimes it's fun to just get totally silly.
I agree! Wish there was lots more silly in ALL Spuffy stories - I just LOVE IT!
Spike turning green was indeed very amusing. It didn't make me laugh but I smilde while reading this. Spike did get some luck out of it with Buffy.
Thanks for reading and reviewing. Glad it brought a bit of a smile. I have a hard time writing comedy, I don't often step into the land of the absurd, I'm a pragmatic person, so when I try to do something comedic, I have no idea how it's going to come across.
sad sodden inhibitions
Uhm. I think the word you're looking for is Sodding. Which is a euphemism for F*&^ing.
Sodden just means WET.
NOTE: I know you're not the only one who makes this mistake on this site. But I'm sure you want to be accurate. It took me right out of the story, I'm afraid. The first instance I ignored, but it kept recurring... which would be bad enough if you'd used it right b/c Spike has enough imagination not to repeat the 'f' word over and over too.
Sorry... I'm not intending to be mean.
And it was kind of funny.

Thanks for the correction. Not mean at all and I know just what you mean. I once read a book where the main character was Polish, and that's my heritage. The author similarly had the character use an term that is an extremely offensive curse word in Polish. It's a term that when translated doesn't seem like a big deal, but it's meaning and intent within the language IS a big deal.
It kept jumping off the page and bugging me too.
Thanks for the review!
Thank you for being so gracious about it! I know how hard it is to write fanfic and how many picky fans there are. I felt guilty for 'picking' on you, but I thought it better to say it... after all, I am always asking someone to 'brit-pick' or 'ameri-pick' my character dialogue - I thought you'd want to know. I grew up half way between English-English and American-English and I'm always worried my characters sound too English on the one hand or not English enough on the other.
It gets extra difficult when you've only heard words spoken, and not written.
Peace,
Blue
That was far from the only issue with this story. I admit I rushed it out so it would get out on St Pat's day but it needed quite a bit of work. I've just done a good bit of editing, and took your suggestions to heart. I think it's flowing a bit better in other ways as well. Heck, I HOPE so!

It was HIM. And while she’d often thought he could benefit from some color in his cheeks, green wasn’t the color she had in mind. This line was a hoot.
And this: Oh the irony, he thought, that THIS was what it took to get her to touch him. The girl really did have funny taste in men. Leave it to Spike to not get that she is acting from compassion not passion LOL.
Cute and funny story and with Buffy's inner kindness a shoe in for Spuffy connections. I'm sure Spike didn't mind his turn as the Jolly Green Giant as long as his asparagus was seen too properly LOL.
Loved it.

Glad you liked it. I find it harder to write fluff than other styles, but I want my holiday pieces to be festive. I LOVE holidays, decorate for each one etc, so holiday fics are close to my heart. Thanks for the review.

Happy St. Paddy's day! Very funny & sweet. Enjoyed it!
Thanks for the review. Glad you liked it. People on this site are from so many different places and St Patrick's day is definitely a holiday that is vastly different depending on where you are. So I had no idea if this was going to fly or not.
I grew up in a place where it was a HUGE deal, they dye the river green. Green beer and shots flow like water. Several other places I live they barely mention the day at all.
Love it! Very cute and perfect for St. Patrick's Day!
Thanks for the review. I'm glad it brought a smile!

Hilarious story! Perfect St Patrick's Day confection with our favorite vampire cursed "green".
Loved all the the interaction between the characters; wonderful voices! Anya was especially fun.
The "walk of shame" was the cherry on top. (Buffy had to get her vampire back, even if it meant braving the green asparagus.)
Glad you liked it. When I first saw the challenge I was intrigued but couldn't think of a single darn thing to do with it. Honestly I don't even know where this idea came from, I just knew I wanted fluff and Spuff. lol. Thanks for reviewing.

This was crazy in the best kind of way. A green Spike! A Buffy who can't handle not having her vampire eye-candy available! Xander's entirely unhelpful suggestions! Loved it, very funny and cute. The solution was perfect, and the walk of shame so, so funny. Oh Buffy.
Glad you liked it, thanks for reviewing!

Adorbs.
Glad it brought a smile! Thanks for the review.
