Buffy a souhaité être Buffy intéressant.
Je peux le comprendre Buffy l'autre il l'a connu plus longtemps et il partage quelque chose de.grand .
Merci beaucoup pour le commentaire.
This should be interesting. This is such a different Buffy, her relationships will be vastly changed.
Wonder where his Buffy is. Well, this one IS his but not.
Poor Spike was fully expecting that the Buffy from his original timeline would not love him. He was prepared. It has to give him comfort knowing he is loved there too.
Thank you very much and I hope I manage to do it justice from here on too.
There was no way to know how the wish would be fulfilled. So comicverse Buffy has been transported to this reality. I suppose that this reality Buffy has been moved to the comicverse then. It is indeed a very special situation to explain.
I like that you continued this story.
Thank you. Yes, it's a switch, but there might be some twists ahead. Also it's not exactly comics-verse, as I haven't read the comics, but it'll be close enough.
“Before I tell you my story…” He swallowed and tried to ignore the gaping hole he could feel widening in his stomach. “Can you just tell me if you love me?” You know that question has been burning a hole in his psyche for a long, long time. He came back in time without any idea of where he stood with her, and no matter what he has carved out for himself here, the past was still there, haunting the back corners of his mind.
“He tells me everything.” She ducked down to capture his gaze. “And I tell him everything too. No secrets, no half-truths, no exceptions. That’s how we make it work.” Wow - terribly mature and impressive. You know Spike is wondering exactly how *he* was able to get past all of the seemingly insurmountable obstacles of the past/future time (darn confusing time-travel, lol) and find himself in such a stable relationship with Buffy.
The Buffy from this time doesn't seem to be conscious of the blending though. I wonder if she is simply being suppressed by the alternate Buffy, or if she might be experiencing a taste of the other timeline?
More things will be explained as things progress. Thank you for the review.
Ouch - Poor Buffy, but at the same time poor Spike! He has obviously been totally open with her about his life experiences prior to traveling back in time, which is good, but has definitely left them both with excess emotional baggage. She IS Buffy, she IS the Slayer, but at the same time, a person is shaped by his or her experiences. This Buffy is not the same as the Buffy Spike originally fell in love with. That is not necessarily a bad thing, but it is a fact. His subconscious, dreaming self is probably confused and trying to make sense of the meshing of two different realities. Buffy meanwhile feels like she is competing with her own ghost. You can tell from her words that she is disgusted with her other self, and that even though she has done/experienced none of the things she has been told about, she still feels guilt over the actions of Other!Buffy. She also is at a loss to understand the pull that Spike feels to that broken version of her.
I love that Spike doesn't try to placate her, or talk his way out of it. He doesn't deny his past or his present. He wants to comfort her, but he also wants her to understand. In his mind, I think, the two Buffy's are one and the same, just different sides of the same coin. Spike loves with his whole heart, and that love covers both of them.
The vengeance wish is certainly going to make things interesting...
Thank you for the very insightful review. What you said is exactly what I was trying to convey, so I'm glad it's what shone through.
Oh- I didn't see the bit with the vengeance demon the first time I read this. Makes much more sense now. Also didn't notice the time travel part, which is my favorite part, was just reading though these because I was reading all your work!
Thank you very much. I'm glad it makes more sense now, and if you wait some, there will be more.
Great chapter can't wait till the next one
It might be a while. The ideas are there, the story is mapped out, but the muse is focused on other things. Thank you for the review.
Oh my goodness that was great! I can't wait to see wait happens. I feel so bad for Buffy. It has to be really confusing to feel jealous of oneself.
Thank you, I know what you mean. There's a sequel idea bugging me lately, so maybe I'll post it someday.
Oh, how sad! that she thinks that way, and poor Spike - how do you assure her? WOW. And, UH OH! Wishes never turn out well. eek. She could end up hating him again half the time with the other Buffy being fused with her. I hope for the best!
It all depends on what version of Buffy gets merged in. If all things go as planned, I'll be exploring the ramifications soon.
I can see Buffy being jealous of herself like this. Poor Spike loves ANY version of her though. That granted wish is likely to really cause trouble for both of them.
Really unique take on time travel.
Thank you very much. I've got a sequel in the works. Shhh. :)
Oooo I really loved this one! It's true that we are who we are because of all we experience. It might be nice to think of going back and stopping all the pain but we wouldn't be the same people (maybe not even as good or happy). There are consequences and this points that out nicely.
Clever to not make it clear from the start that it's Buffy less all the trauma.
Thank you very much Kathleen. It basically wrote itself one morning. I guess it had something to do with my thinking I wouldn't change anything in my past because I was afraid it would lead to me not meeting my wife.
Dang! That got really deep, really fast. I wondered why Spike's new girlfriend sounded so much like Buffy, so good job on the voice there. Love the complications from time travelling. I've always thought the same thing, that one of them going back to make things better would alter the other so much...
The more someone goes back into the other's timeline, the bigger the changes, in my opinion. Anyway, glad you liked!
This was done well. We got to see what happens after a time travel, when the changes are done. When the future is changed, so is the persons in it. Interesting to see Buffy being jelous of a different version of herself. They wouldn't be the same person, so the jelousy and complicated feelings do make sense.
Thank you, and I'm glad you liked my story and my premise.
Oh oh! Wishes rarely work out well.
It would be in character for Bufy to be jealous of herself LOL. Poor Spike can't win can he? Gets a Buffy who loves and accepts him only to have her pissed that he fell in love with a previous incarnation of herself. SHe needs therapy in a major way LOL.
YAY a new story. I like it a lot.
I agree, and I'm really glad you liked it.
