Flashes of the future as opposed to time traveling to the past isn’t something that I’ve seen a lot of (excluding those pesky Slayer dreams). I thought this was a neat concept to get the spuffy ball rolling![Report This]
A cute little fic that successfully assures that this verse will see two champions together facing all that the cannon couple faced alone. Sweet concept. Wish he had been longer. Or maybe a followup. But, even still, if it must end, a good place to do it.
Awww, thanks so much. I'm really pleased that you enjoyed this, and I appreciate that you took the time to review each chapter.
And the immediate thought upon reading they were going to interrupt "divine intervention" is "Why?" Surely, divine intervention should be allowed to run its course and end when the information was imparted. So the Scoobies, yet again, interfere to try to direct even the PTB. Wanton hubris, indeed. Now, it could be argued that Willow won't be able to interrupt unless she was meant to. Okay, but still, she overstepped the authority of the PTB, even if they expected her knew.
The hubris of the Scoobies, Willow in particular, can be astounding at times, can't it? Thank you so much for reading and reviewing.
So, the PTB or Whistler as their representative, are using Joyce as a catalyst to freeze time and Spuffy to force them into circumstances that will further their goals to get the two together.
Yep, that's pretty much it, in a nutshell.
Oh, yeah! The Slayer is powerless against her strong and capable Momma. And Spike is just charming and charmed when it comes to Joyce. Buffy's in Trouble!
It's funny how being scolded by her Mum takes the power from her, isn't it? I love charming Spike, and I am so pleased that you enjoyed him in this.
It is such a welcome to see Whistler used as a conduit for good, who has both a sense of humor and an admiration for strong, intelligent, willful women. And Joyce does not disappoint. She rises up to the challenge like the champion she raised.
Aww, thanks. I'm glad you liked my interpretation of Whistler. I always felt that he was an under-appreciated, or perhaps under-utilised, character. Joyce was a lot of fun to write, and I'm glad you liked her in this.
Oh, Whistler is tattling to Mommy. Well, things are going to go different. You can't get a mom involved without getting either in-depth discussions, slick maneuvers, or psychological understanding.
Yep, the big tattler.
Thanks for your review.
That was a fun story! I truely enjoyed it! Thank you!
I'm really pleased that you enjoyed the fic, it was certainly fun to write. Thanks for your lovely reviews.
Lol, I've always loved Spike's relationships with Joyce. I think it's a cute mother/son vibe. Poor Buffy, what is a Slayer to do?
Me too. They had such a nice bond. Definitely a mother/son vibe, I agree. Thanks for the review.
Loved the whole story...of only they'd been party to the future like that... You wrote their emotion so powerfully that I could feel it in the scene. Bravo! And the part about Spike being jealous of Andrew made me giggle...
Thanks sweets! I'm so pleased that you enjoyed this. Thanks for your kind review.
After all this, Buffy and Spike needed their talk while Joyce explained to the rest. They will accept it in time.
I have enjoyed this, especially Joyce and it was good to see Whistler be useful.
I'm so glad that you enjoyed this, and I appreciate all of the reviews. Thanks so much!
I liked how Giles was thinking and the way he tried to read the situation. Anya showing her knowledge is always good too.
I love writing Anya, she's just so fun. And I'm glad you enjoyed Giles.
It's so wonderful the way Spike and Joyce are interacting. The way it irritates Buffy is also very enjoyable.
Heehee! Buffy doesn't like it when she's ganged up on, does she? Thanks for the review.
The way Buffy and Spike irritates each other is a good read. Here we can see that Joyce has been affected. She sees all the possibilities in Spike and is planning to make Buffy see it too. I liked the logic she used.
Well I'm glad you enjoyed their banter! They're always so much fun to write when they're fighting. Thanks for the review.
