Giles strong reaction was of course sad for Buffy. I can understand him not being happy but he shouldn't have said that. Xander doesn't get the situation in the end he will probably come around and Willlow of course will. As expected Tara and Anya was supportive, I loved the things Anya said. Also nice that they found the ring.[Report This]
The sadness is flowing through this chapter. Buffy can't belive that the feelings were real and Spike was sad since Buffy run from him. Then he got drunk and when Buffy (after some talk with Dawn) actually wanted to talk, he expected something bad and lashed out. They both have a lot of issues.[Report This]
Xander and Jenkins to the rescue, that was goid to see and I liked what they did with Riley. Then we had a wedding with a drunk Giles and even Larry had a role in the story. A very sweet moment.
Now that the story has ended, Buffy has to deal with the real world. All this is of course a lot to take in, so I can't blame her for running.[Report This]
Buffy has gotten used to this situation on the island and the time when she's Elisabeth, they are blending in some way. During the time here they have built a life and a routine. It was sweet how William read poetry for Elisabeth.
Now they are in danger though, both Angelus and Riley.[Report This]
Buffy is having her typical conflicting thoughts here. She wants Spike but she "know" that she shouldn't want him. The little conversation between Elisabeth and William does mirror the situation for Buffy and Spike.
Another nice little glimpse from the world outside the book.[Report This]
Living in a piece of fiction do have some perks, just like Buffy is thinking here. Things are developing between here and Spike but understandable they are worried about how much is real.
Anya is the right choice for reading the book, she won't have any problem with the things that are happening.[Report This]
Of course Buffy would hate not having her powers and being the damsel in distress. Spike is of course happy being a pirate captain without the chip. He wants to play a bit but is ready to help Buffy when he understand how worried Buffy is for what is happening in Sunnydale. Also nice to see how the book has used their memories of other characters.[Report This]
shacking up with Evil Dead over there She really shouldn't let him get away with any part of that phrase. They are married not shacking up and he shouldn't be permitted to call her husband names intended to demean him. He doesn't have to like it or like Spike but respectful behavior towards both Buffy and Spike should be a given.
Much as I want to smack her friends and Watcher (save Anya and Tara) I have to say it's more in character that they act this way. Well there's hope for the future at least. I want to believe that Buffy will always take Spike's side and they can come along or not as they choose.
Perfect place for the honeymoon. Lovely. I really needed this story today. RL has been a bear and I needed this sort of fantasy with a HEA. Thanks for giving me a lifeline to sanity when I needed it.
Tara said all the right things bless her. Willow doesn't necessarily agree but fears losing Tara. SO arrogant!
He's not good for Buffy. Not like Riley was. I always felt that Xander was living vicariously through Riley. How he could STILL be thinking Riley was good for Buffy (or just good in any sense) pisses me off to no end.
Giles is a jerk but not an idiot apparently.
"Losing Spike would destroy me. If you really want to do that to me, then you're not my friends anyway." Exactly! Assholes.
Buffy called it where Xander is concerned. What about Anya? Yeah he wants Anya AND the idea that he could have Buffy too. Sick jealous arse.
Awww she didn't MAKE a good man out of him but she certainly drew his inner good man out (in canon and in this story).
You don't want to hear a lot of things. But that doesn't make them any less real. Oh AMEN.
Giles is being a prig. He'll have to come around but still.
It's amazing to me how in canon everyone NOT a vampire seemed to "know" just what a vampire is and what a vampire can think, do and feel and when an actual vampire tells them otherwise no one listens. Buffy knows though. She can feel the love he has for her and knows it is not just possible but that it is.
Bingo! Hey in the real world a person is LUCKY if even one friend becomes a life-long one. Usually we drift apart to one degree or another sometimes forever. To make a life choice based on what our FRIENDS think is crazy. Besides if they truly are your friends they will come around and be loving and supportive.
She's right in her priorities. Her husband and family matter. Yeah it hurts but too bad in the long run.
Hell in canon the friends toss her out of her house and betray her and her Watcher dumps a ton of responsibility on her fragile, depressed shoulders and then leaves!
