Ooh. How could Buffy possibly get mad at Spike for telling Dawn how her parents met. It's totally heart-felt from Spike's perspective. I wonder if they're going to hash things out over coffee considering they've been focused on Dawn's well-being. Update again soon, please! I miss this story.[Report This]
I've been waiting for an update and you didn't disappoint. I was able to tear up majorly when I read that Spike up and left; the parting shot with the rings was heart-breaking. I'm glad you had him turn back around! Wish he did run-down the sign. More, please!
Author's Response: Thanks. Those pesky grandkids do tend to dig into my Spuffy time.
Typical bitchy Buffy lash out at Spike when anything goes wrong. It's her fault he was a bad husband and father. She never gave him an opportunity to be a husband and she never told him about the baby, so how could he be a good dad?! Sometimes I really despise Buffy.
Author's Response: That's our girl, lol. I'm with you. Spike was way too good for her.
and now we get the intel on buffy's pov from that night ... wonder if she'll hide from it later or just man up to it?
looking forward to more spuffy interaction!
Author's Response: never fear, lots to come [Report This]
I am enjoying this story. I strongly suspect you're not American from your bagel comment. It popped me totally out of the flow of the story. Acceptable spreads in the U.S. on toasted bagels are: butter/margerine, jam/jelly, lox (smoked salmon), peanut butter, hummus, and cream cheese. If you dipped your bagel into yogurt in a restaurant you'd get stared at.
Author's Response: As would happen in Canada as well. It just happens to be how I like mine. :)
Author's Response: Not sure why it would pop you out of the story though. It's just a breakfast.
Glad to see things from Buffy's view. It's funny, while I was reading the previous chapter and the beginning of this one I was reminded of Yo-saff-bridge and how sudden wedding's with complete strangers never end well. Hopefully, this is not the case for Buffy and Spike, and despite all their history it will end with Spuffy-ness and Dawn with a loving, doting father. Great chapter! Can't wait for more!
Author's Response: Ah, but their's has already ended sooooo......
ah - spike fell in a moment. and buffy - well, her thoughts are always of the most confused, but ... hopefully we'll see more of the honest buffy ... later ...
looking forward to more!
Author's Response: Thy wish shall be granted [Report This]
I knew they were both drunk to have gotten married, but the way that they proposed to each other was just so sweet. Buffy charmed the William buried in Spike. While she wasn't mostly conscious about her actions and rebounding from Angel's betrayal/disappointment, she allowed herself to be swept away by someone who was compulsively romantic. I hope you give them more of an opportunity to capture that and give us more flashbacks to boot!
Author's Response: More flashbacks coming
As usual Spike is desperate to be loved. He is the type of person to marry someone he just met. That is why I love the Spike character. I hope Buffy remembers that night on her own.
Author's Response: I just had to keep that aspect of his character
This was such a sweet chapter, a great point for them to start again. I know you have a lot of stories going right now, please update soon. Thanks!
Author's Response: Thanks. This is my only active story and I'm working on the next chapter.
atleast they're working with each other, in a good way, and they're slowly learning to know each other. and i wonder how long it'll take dawn to wise up to how she and spike are related?
looking forward to more!
Author's Response: She's only five, so probably not too soon [Report This]
Loved the end scene with Buffy and Spike's hands on the opposite sides of the door. I know Buffy was drunk and in pain with Liam walking away, but I'm curious about what state Spike was in when the two of them got married. Can't wait to find out if Spike is a match for Dawn, please update soon.
Author's Response: All will be revealed. Maybe not all at once but it wouldn't be Spuffy if it wasn't angsty. :)
I'm sure Spike is completely lying through his teeth when he said he could be friends with Buffy. That ending scene reminded me of season 6 and that haunting Bush song. Loved it! Update soon. (I would totally appreciate a flashback of Spike meeting a heartbroken, drunk!Buffy.
Author's Response: Patience, gentle reader.
