I really like this chapter. We are learning more about the characters and I liked all the different interaction we saw here. This chapter sets up things for the next one in an interesting way. I could see many good and interesting details.[Report This]
A dark beginning. It isn't spelled out but it seems rather clear what happened. Dawn has been sheltered from it and that means she doesn't understand why the family split up. That make the anger understandable but it makes it worse for Buffy.
Apparently Buffy has been acting as some kind of vigilante and now Trick and Mayor Wilkins wanted to clean out any connection between them.
This is starting in a dark and strong way, it makes me want more.[Report This]
Funny meeting - and now Buffy knows they weren't after her. Hiring a lawyer, I hope that will turn out well for Buffy. If it goes well she would be free, no more running.
Photographic memory is handy for a detective. :)
And she was a detective before so her last case was the mayor I guess.
Looking forward to more.
Ah... Buffy fears that they are after her. I'd thought it was because of the casino. Should they be after her that's bad. But she was clever finding her way into the agency (AI).
If they ever find out what she did it should be good enough to get hired. ;)
If they don't mind her personal history; and that she is still in danger because of that.
I've started to read this one @ FF.net but I'll continue to read it here.
Oh Buffy has a baby now (and has to take pills?). Didn't expect the baby from the first chapter but I wonder now if that's involved in the killing. But between serving drinks Buffy works as a hooker in the evenings? That was the impression I've got.
*nods* Indeed a hooker. That's why she can't get another job? Nothing that pays so much?
But Buffy didn't take the money? Then she knows that she is in trouble when a detective agency is snooping around. Or will loose this job soon. Well it's not a good one anyway when you have to sell yourself (even is this brings money).
Start with a bang, why don't you? I'm all in a tizzy wondering the how, what and why...you've got me hooked.
Going to wait patiently twirling my thumbs--hoping that your muse will be on a roll and that many updates will follow.
