What a lovely Thanksgiving story!
I really felt how lost they all are; Spike without his Summers girls, Dawn without the bright and shining sister she had loved before her death, and Buffy lost and in pain in a world she never wanted to come back to. But, for a quiet moment, they are all comforted and soothed in each others' company. And, maybe, just a little bit healed by the love Spike has for them both.
Nicely done![Report This]
I just sat here for a good five minutes rereading the last few lines with a big, goofy smile on my face. This was so... I can't even think of the right word. This made my heart swell with joy. Whereas the ending wasn't a "happy ever after", if left us hoping and that's a good sign. That there's a light at the end of the tunnel, and Spike is the one holding the light for them to see. This was really, really sweet. I'm glad he managed to get a smile out of Buffy and make the sisters' thanksgiving the best it could be. I wish there were more moments like these on the show. Amazing job! :)[Report This]
