23 Year Old Buffy fan from way back when Luke Perry was the hottest thing on earth (to of course be replaced by Spike), which led me to fall in love with the original Buffy movie. I never missed an episode of the show when it was on tv and wasted far too much of my teenage years reading fanfic and writing it too (although very badly). 'Buffy: Season 8' has made me get back into Buffy fanfiction (thankfully). Summary:

Set in Season 6, post 'Gone'. Just because Buffy couldn't be who she was before she died, doesn't mean she can't become someone worth knowing still.

This is an angsty fic which is primarily Spuffy but does contain a fleeting bit of Buffy/Other. This story also contains sexual content, some adult language and violence. This is an AU story, so it goes off canon pretty much immediately. Written from Buffy's POV.

Summary:

With Spike now working with Buffy, albeit on the sidelines, he is confronted by Giles who tells Spike he has an important mission for him to undertake, one that might very well deliver the instrument of the Scoobies safety from Glory.
