Long time (old) fanfic reader and author.

I've gone through my fics and ended up posting almost everything Spuffy I've written. For better or worse. It looks like a lot, but bear in mind it's now over twenty years worth of writing in this fandom. :) Publication dates indicate when I posted them here, not when they were originally written. Even those original dates aren't necessarily right anymore, as I've replaced laptops and word processing programs quite a few times, and there was a point where the dates on everything written before a certain change reflect only the year of the change.

Please don't worry that something you like doesn't have a lot of reviews. Many/most of these fics will have been posted at several other archives many years ago and have garnered their fair share of reviews (and awards) at those places, so I don't expect a lot of reviews here where many readers will have already commented elsewhere. But thank you for being worried for me. I appreciate it. :)

Old, long-ago-finished and multi-chaptered stories are posted in largish chunks of several chapters each. That was just the fastest and easiest way for me to do it, and without clogging up the "recent fics" part of the home page. My apologies to those who like to read one chapter at a time. And formatting can be inconsistent as the paragraph spacing that works on most other places, causes extra spaces on here.

Many of the really short ficlets will have been combined into one post. Most of these very short ones were written for various prompts at different Live Journal communities: sb_fag_ends, to fill a bingo card of some sort, or to fill a prompt at Taming_the_muse. Quality will vary.... In season six (especially)I may have more than one fic focused around a particular episode (Dead Things, for instance) or a particular theme (Spike grows a pair, Buffy gets a clue). Those fics are often posted in one place, making each one a separate "chapter" in what is really a collection of short stand-alones.

I apologize for any annoyance at the combined posts, but that was the only reasonable way to put all those things here. I no longer have a website of my own, but pretty much everything I've written, including non-Spuffy works, can be found at AO3 (or at my Dreamwidth or Live Journal).

Summary: My way of meeting the four wonderful challenges put forth in March 2007, by Seven_Seasons . One is nothing but fluffy Spuffy, one is terribly grim, and two are suitably angsty for what was going on at that time. Each one is based on an actual episode that has been twisted to meet the challenge requirements – any dialogue that sounds familiar was probably written by those much more talented writers at Mutant Enemy, rather than by me. J
Here are the challenges as put up on the Seven Seasons community:
1)     Giles doesn't leave, and he's there when he finds Spike crying against the tree. How does Giles find out about Buffy and manage to be at the house when all the Scoobies return? How does he react to seeing Spike in tears at Buffy’s return?

2)     What if Spike isn't the only one to hear Buffy say that her friends dragged her out of Heaven? Who has overheard her and how do they react to the news--as well as the fact that Buffy confided in Spike and not her friends?

3)     Riley returns-absent any rebound wife. How does Buffy react while remembering how desperately she'd run to catch him and stop him from leaving her? Does she still want him back?

4)    Spike knew about the resurrection and tried to stop it, afraid that Buffy would 'come back wrong.' What is he afraid of?
