Between You & Me by -Ash-

Summary: Buffy Summers has never been normal. Since birth, she's been able to see the world through another person's eyes. It just so happens to be the eyes of the world's most vicious vampire, Spike - aka, William the Bloody. To Spike, Buffy is a normal teenage girl with a few rough patches that landed her on the wrong side of the tracks. To Buffy, Spike is a regular Joe in love with a crazy chick. What happens when the newly activated Slayer moves to Sunnydale, falls for Spike's worst enemy, and finally meets the man behind the visions, only to find out he's a master vampire looking for a cure for his vampire love, Drusilla, and the head of the Slayer? In other words, her head. A story of a Slayer and vampire desperate to look beyond who they are individually for something their destined for together.
Inspired by Joss Whedon's movie, In Your Eyes, this is a challenge response by SoaringClaws.

Now that we're off-canon, I'll post mini summaries to kinda give you a glance at what's ahead. Thanks to SoaringClaws for the awesome banner! Hopefully I'm doing your challenge justice! <3

Summary: After Buffy's secret causes tension between her and "William", she seeks out the help of Giles to find out if it's something she can get rid of. Meanwhile, Spike is on a mission to prove that his humanity is not a handicap, but at a deadly cost.

Summary: Buffy does everything she can to avoid confronting what happened between her and Spike. Willow and Giles cast a spell to get rid of Buffy's visions that goes disastrously wrong.

I must say, this chapter was fun to write. Also, I've decided to do something fun: I will be listing Continuity's and Arc Significances in end notes just for fun :) I love reading those on Wikipedia and Wiki for Buffy stories.

Summary: Spike (in Buffy's body) must play Slayer and follow a lead about the Master from Angel. Willow teams up with Spike to switch their bodies back before Giles finds out. Meanwhile, Buffy (in Spike's body) learns the real reason why Spike is in Sunnydale.

Obviously my goal to be finished with this fic in November was a bust, but that's okay!

Summary: Buffy's date with Angel is interrupted while Spike learns more about his sister, Meredith.

Summary: Spike and Buffy race against the clock to protect Dawn and Joyce from a vampire-intruder known to them only as "A". Buffy learns about Angel's true form, and is not happy about it. Bonus points to whoever can figure out the banter between Spike and Drusilla (hint: actually has nothing to do with Dawn, it just worked out that way).

Summary: Buffy still races against the clock to save Dawn and her mother while Giles finds out more about Angel's past, and Spike reconnects with a part of his human life he thought he left behind in the 1800s.

This is like a filler chapter, so I'm sorry if it's not action packed or anything...

Summary: Buffy and Spike have a small blow out ending in potentially deadly consequences. Giles tells Buffy that she must reveal her secret to her mother.

Summary: Buffy and Spike realize just how close they really are to each other. Meredith reveals some terrifying news to Buffy while Angel ends up in the hands of the Master.

Summary: Angel searches for Spike to exchange his life for Buffy’s; meanwhile the gang prepares for Drusilla’s ritual back to health. Buffy doubts her abilities as Slayer.

So, this is the last chapter of Between You and Me. I will be uploading an Epilogue (a chapter 31 essentially) to wrap up what happens! Thank you to everyone who has supported me since October, nominated me for author of the month so many times because of this story, and helped keep me on track! You all are awesome! I will be making a short-story involving the years following this story!

Summary: In this explosive finale, Buffy struggles to remain true to her firm “no-Slaying” mantra in the midst of a demonic abduction, a rising prophecy, and a magical ritual… all with their own potentially fatal consequences.

I think I might cry. Between you and me is now over. But I am going to write a short-story the tells the years between the end of this epilogue! I hope you guys aren't too upset about the ending. I was hoping to throw you for a loop!!! :)

Summary: Buffy arrives in a familiar place with very familiar faces, and she is forced to make several choices about her future, and the future between her and Spike.
